Vision & Ambition

3.19.27.(2), defines itself as an organization who is fuelled by the injustice and persecution of artists worldwide who have had their freedom of speech undermined by oppressive forces, and upholds the belief that everyone deserves the right to life, liberty, and security. Our mission is to help to insure everyone has the right to freedom of expression, and the right to the protection of the moral and material interests resulting from any artistic production of which they are the creator.

In collaboration with artists and partners from different parts of the world, our ambition is to help these muted voices by giving them an audience on the world stage. We will obtain the works of marginalized artists, and in turn, allow them to continue living as well as to continue speaking their truths through visual arts.

3.19.27(2) would like to acknowledge that the land on which we operate is the traditional territories of many nations including the Wendat, the Anishinabeg, the Chipewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Mississaugas of the Credit, and is now home to many diverse First nations, Inuit and Metis peoples.

As an Organization, set in our aim to battle injustice worldwide, we are firm in our decision to further acknowledge that a short and simple declaration of the land on which we operate is not sufficient work towards the unveiling of the ongoing struggle of many First Nations, Inuit and Metis Peoples in their fight against settler colonialism and genocide.

We acknowledge that as Immigrants to Tkaronto, we too profit from this land on which we reside, and as such we refuse to remain complacent with the Social, Political and Financial exploitation of First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples. In an attempt to perhaps distance ourselves from a short acknowledgment that we feel has become a tool for complacent settlers to simply purge themselves from the guilt of privilege, we ask you to take a step further and pursue active improvements in Idnigenous communities. We invite you to take a moment to explore a number of resources that can directly better Indigenous lives by donating, participating and spreading knowledge to your capacity.
